In 1637, Tiangong Kaiwu, an extraordinary book by Song Yingxing was published in Fenyi, Jiangxi Province. Known as "the encyclopaedia of Chinese craftsmanship in the 17th century", the book documented how the Chinese people use their craftsmanship to live and work in harmony with nature in three volumes, 18 chapters. Centuries have passed, and the generations-long legacy of Jingdezhen's porcelain industry stands as a living testament to the ecological wisdom embodied in Tiangong Kaiwu.
