SM Supermalls holds bowling, archery, and karate lessons this summer

  A summer of play, learning, and new skills awaits at your most-loved mall

  MANILA, Philippines, 20th April 2026 — This summer, keep the kids active with a slate of sports activities that develop skills and build character through SM Supermalls’ SLC Sports Program. At your most-loved SM Supermalls, young learners can pick up the basics of skating, bowling, archery, and karate, discovering where winning begins while learning valuable life skills along the way. Classes will be led by experts to ensure sessions are effective, safe, and fun。

  “The SLC Sports Program is designed not just to teach kids a new sport or skill. It also helps instill real-life values that shape character and guide them as they grow.   Learn to Skate at SM Skating

  Glide into a cool summer at SM Skating, where every lesson is a chance to learn, improve, and enjoy a maxed-out experience on ice。

  Glide into a cool and exciting summer with learn-to-skate sessions at SM Skating, in partnership with the Philippine Skating Union and Milo. Open to skaters of all ages, the program offers structured, professionally guided lessons led by certified coaches in a safe and supportive environment。

  Through a step-by-step progression from beginner basics to essential techniques, participants can build confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy a truly maxed-out experience on ice. It also serves as an ideal starting point for those who wish to pursue higher-level or competitive skating, where winning begins with every glide。

  The Learn to Skate program follows a five-session format, including four guided lessons and one culmination day, with a registration fee of P3,500. Sessions are available in April and May at SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, and SM Seaside Cebu, with weekday and weekend batches available. Classes run from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM, providing participants with a consistent, structured schedule to build their skills on ice。

  Learn to Bowl at SM Bowling

  Young learners build discipline, focus, and confidence through karate at your most-loved SM Supermalls—where every move is a step toward where winning begins。

  In collaboration with the Philippine Bowling Federation, Sports Central, and Milo, kids can learn the fundamentals of bowling at participating branches every weekend of May at SM Bowling. Guided by experienced instructors, they will learn proper grip, stance, swing, release, and follow-through, along with techniques to score that perfect strike—where winning begins with every roll。

  Bowling lessons will run for four sessions. SM Mall of Asia bowling classes will be held on May 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 10 AM to 12 NN。

  SM Megamall, SM City Fairview, SM Southmall, and SM North EDSA will also hold bowling classes from 10 AM to 12 NN on May 9, 16, 20, and 30.

  Meet and greet Filipina bowling legend Bong Coo

  Bong Coo, a member of the World Bowling Hall of Fame and the Philippine Sports Hall of Fame, will grace these sessions, guiding participants through expert techniques while sharing her journey and life lessons. Through her, kids can better appreciate perseverance, sportsmanship, and humility both in sport and in life。

  Coo will visit SM Mall of Asia on May 3, SM Megamall on May 16, SM City Fairview on May 23, SM Southmall on May 30, and SM North EDSA on May 31.

  Learn to Shoot: Archery Clinic

  Participants take aim at the archery clinic at SM, developing focus, control, and precision in a fun, maxed-out experience this summer。

  In addition to improving coordination and awareness, archery is known to enhance focus and mental discipline. Kids and their parents can learn how to handle the bow and arrow from April 21 to June 14 at participating SM Supermalls, another exciting way to Gala To The Max this summer。

  Classes are scheduled from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM across multiple batches:

  Batch 1 (Tuesdays: April 21, 28; May 5, 11) and Batch 2 (Saturdays: April 25; May 2, 9, 16), culminating on May 17.

  This will be followed by Batch 3 (Tuesdays: May 19, 26; June 2, 9) and Batch 4 (Saturdays: May 23, 30; June 6, 13), culminating on June 14.

  Sessions will be held at SM Mall of Asia, SM Southmall, SM North EDSA, SM City Cebu, SM City Fairview, and SM City Santa Rosa。

  Learn Karate

  Young learners build discipline, focus, and confidence through karate at your most-loved SM Supermalls, where every move is a step toward where winning begins。

  SM Supermalls partnered with the Association for the Advancement of Karatedo (AAK) to teach young participants self-defense and discipline through karate lessons. ssssssssBeyond physical techniques, kids will develop mental strength, focus, and confidence—skills that extend beyond the dojo and into everyday life。

  Karate classes will kick off on April 20 at SM Mall of Asia, April 21 at SM Southmall, April 22 at SM City Santa Rosa, and April 24 at SM CDO Downtown. Participants can enroll in either a 4-session or an 8-session package。
